Yue-qi Zhao
Yueqi Zhao is a versatile pianist who has earned her master’s degree in piano performance from university of north Texas and bachelor’s degree in piano performance from the Tianjin Conservatory of Music. During her undergraduate and graduate studies, she received numerous scholarships including the school's second prize scholarship and third prize scholarship many times. With a passion deeply rooted in classical music, she has showcased her talents as a soloist in several recitals and festivals, such as the Beethoven Piano Sonata Lecture concert, the Mozart Piano Festival Concert, 2019 Tianjin Conservatory of Music Piano Concert, the Haydn Piano Sonata Lecture concert, and several solo piano recitals.
Some of the awards Yueqi has received include the first prize in the Ariano online piano competition; the 2nd place in Singapore International Piano Competition for Double Piano group; the 3rd place in Franz Liszt International Youth Piano Competition, Tianjin District; the 1st place in the Hong Kong International Piano Invitation Competition's Sonata group in 2019 and 3rd place in the same competition's Major group; the Gold Award at the 19th Student Art Festival Individual Project Performance in Beijing; the 2nd Place in the British Royal International Music Competition Chinese Trial. In addition to her solo performances,
Yueqi Zhao is a motivating and attentive piano teacher. Known for her patient and engaging teaching style, Yueqi creates a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment. She uses lexible teaching methods and tailors lessons to meet each student's individual needs, fostering both technical skills and a genuine love for music. Her teaching approach has
consistently received high praise from students and parents alike.
Currently, Yueqi is furthering her musical expertise by pursuing a doctor’s degree in Piano Performance at the University of North Texas, continually expanding her expertise and
dedication to her musical career.
