Hongling Liang

Hongling Liang, born in Jilin, China, has been active as a solo pianist and chamber musician. Ms. Liang has attended several prestigious music schools with scholarships after her Bachelor’s degree in China, including her Master’s degree at Longy School of Music of Bard College and Artist Diploma at Columbus State University. Ms. Liang is a doctorate candidate in Collaborative Piano at the University of North Texas. While her journey in the US, she has been studying under several well-known pianists world-wise, including legendary pianist Peter Serkin, founder of Horszowski Trio Rieko Aizawa, Van Cliburn gold medal winner Alexander Kobrin, Chair of UNT Keyboard Studies Steven Harlos, founder of Collabfest Elvia Puccinelli, among others. With an excellent knowledge of solo and collaborative works, Ms. Liang has made her debut in China and the United States as a soloist and chamber musician. Her concert tour includes Jordan Hall, Pickman Hall, Granoff Music Center, Legacy Hall, Bill Heard Theatre, Xinghai Concert Hall, among others. She also has won prizes in numerous competitions, including the Hong Kong International Piano Competition and the Macaw International Piano Competition. Ms. Liang has been invited as the collaborative guest pianist in numerous competitions and conferences, including HEIDA HERMANNS International String Competition, Collabfest at the University of North Texas, International Clarinet Associations, and others. Ms. Liang is a visiting piano faculty member at Louisiana Tech University.
