Mr. Lu was born into a family of Musicians in China. He has established himself as one of the leading musicians of his generation. Mr. Lu received his Bachelor Degree in music performance from Central Conservatory of Music, Master of Music Degree from New England Conservatory, and Graduate Artist Certificate from the University of North Texas, where he studied with Former Chair of International String's association Jeff Bradetich, Grammy winner, Professor from Yale University and NEC. Don Palma. Mr. Lu has won numerous competitions and rewards, including 1st prize and special recognition of National American String Teacher Association held in Kansas City in 2011. (formal winner include Grammy Winner Joshua Bell), 1st prize of International Strings competition held in Beijing China in 2009, and 1st prize of UNT concerto competition in 2014. Mr.Lu also received Dean Scholarship from NEC and UNT.
Mr. Lu is also a Judge for numerous international competitions judge including Singapore international solo competition. His students won a considerable competition, including multiple students who won 1st Chair of TMEA All Regions, 2nd Prize winner of North Texas Young Artist solo competition, and 1st prize winner of International Strings Solo Competition.
