Born in Kaifeng, Henan, China, Huijie began her violin studies at the age of six under the mentorship of Xiang Lin Hou and Junqing Hou. She continued her musical training at the prestigious High School Attached to the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, where she studied with Weidong Tong and Ming Jin.

 

Huijie’s academic journey includes advanced studies at the Manhattan School of Music, where she trained under Professors Patinka Kopec, Wujie, and the American String Quartet. She further honed her craft at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, studying in the studio of Grigory Kalinovsky. Her exceptional talent was recognized with the Jacobs School of Music Fellowship Award in 2017.

 

In 2024, Huijie was awarded the Meadows School Artistic Scholarship, underscoring her commitment to artistic excellence. Her versatile training with world-renowned educators and ensembles has shaped her into a dynamic and expressive musician with a deep understanding of classical repertoire.
