Born in 1994 in Italy, Pasquale Evangelista attended the “Lorenzo Perosi” State Conservatory of Music in Campobasso, Molise, and the “Alfredo Casella” State Conservatory of Music in L'Aquila, Abruzzo. He achieved the Diploma in Piano Performance with Honors and Special Mention in 2015, and the Master of Arts in Piano Performance with Honors and Special Mention in 2018. The Italian pianist Orazio Ma-ione was his mentor. Besides, Pasquale was the last student of Anna Maria Pennella, a legendary pedagogue from Naples, pupil of Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli and Marguerite Long. He also attended courses with distinguished professors: Benedetto Lupo, Roberto Plano, Antonio Pompa-Baldi, Natalia Troull, Boris Petrushansky, Costantino Mastroprimiano, Roberto Corlianò, Grigory Gruzman. Prize-winner in several national and international piano competitions, he was recently awarded 2nd prize at the prestigious XIII “Sergio Cafaro” International Piano Competition in Rome. His last performances include recitals at important venues in Italy and Europe. Furthermore, he played piano concertos by Mozart, Beethoven, Schumann and Rachmaninoff. His recording of Casella's Scarlattiana with the National Orchestra of Italian Conservatories was broadcasted on RAI Radio3 and critically acclaimed. As a teacher, from 2016 to 2019 he served as Piano Instructor for the Preparatory Department at the “Alfredo Casella” State Conservatory of Music in L’Aquila. Pasquale is currently pursuing the Master of Music in Piano Performance under the guidance of Dr. Carol Leone at SMU Meadows School of the Arts in Dallas, Texas.
