Jiaxi Liu was born in China, where he began to study violin at age of 6. He was admitted to the Affiliated High school of Wuhan Conservatory of Music, where he won the First Prize in the “Qingyang” Live TV Competition. After completed the bachelor’s degree at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Jiaxi Liu was accepted by Louisiana State University with a full scholarship as a teaching assistant, where he played in multiple regional orchestras, including Rapides Symphony Orchestra, Acandiana Symphony Orchestra, and Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra. Currently, Jiaxi Liu is a doctoral candidate at the University of North Texas. As a teaching assistant at UNT, Jiaxi involved with many orchestral and concert performances and teaching around the state of Texas. He also played as the Concertmaster in the UNT Symphony Orchestra since 2017, when he won the UNT Concerto Competition and presented a winner concert. Most recently, Jiaxi Liu was sponsored and invited to the Aspen Music Festival as an orchestral member in the Aspen Festival Orchestra. In addition to his achievement in violin performance, he is also competent in incorporating music theory in his teaching style, which ishis secondary research field during his doctorate study. Jiaxi Liu enjoyed teaching for years by having the private studio that he specialized in solving technical difficulties, preparing in competitions and auditions, and help students and parents achieving long-term goals.
